Realigning your relationship and moving towards more business-like communication with your ex-partner is an important step in rebuilding your own life after separation. Inevitably, your well-being and ability to parent your children in this new phase of life will be affected by your own thoughts, behaviours, and feelings at any given time. This workshop will provide you with practical skills while helping you to better respond to conflicts that will arise with your ex-partner. You will learn how to transform anger into constructive action.
This two hour parent workshop is offered to help parents support their children's initial transitions during parental separation/divorce. We will discuss how best to talk to your children about your separation at any stage, and you will gain an increasing awareness of children's experience of separation and divorce while also learning to accurately identify what it is that your own children need to move forward. Workshops are offered the first Tuesday morning of each month, 9:30am to 11:30am. Call Pam at 647-348-1866 for upcoming dates.
